HP Enterprise Services, operating in Araraquara since 2005, has unveiled this Thursday (13) a new centre to integrate their global network IDS (Industrialized Delivery System). Representing the governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin, the president of Investe São Paulo, Luciano Almeida, took part in the event.

“São Paulo already concentrates the most important poles of technological development in the country and 86% of all the resources invested in R&D. Because of that, investments from a company with potential such as HP only reinforces the idea that we are the best State for investments in this sector”, stated Almeida.

In a much modern site and with great localization, the centre has the structure to attend the global demands and was projected to suit the development, management and transformation of application needs from clients all around the market.

“With the opening of this new centre, which now is part of HP’s global development network, we have elevated our levels in services and customer delivery, as well as our competitivity”, says Luciano Corsini, CEO of HP Brasil and VP of HP Enterprise Services. “We have, in this region, professionals of excellent quality, capable of taking advantage of the knowledge sharing to create even better applications for our clients”.

Chosen to host the centre due to its proximity to universities, technopoles and to the easy access to HP headquartets, Araraquara is turning out to be essential in the application companies’ strategy in Brazil. Also, it will be the focus of investments in human capital and infrastructure, which are vital in attending the growth expectancy of the systems/software industrialization market.

An increase in 30% is expected among the staff of the new centre during the course of the next year, with job openings such as applications developer, project manager or application architect. HP also awaits for a growth in organized certifications (ISO 20000 or CMMI), professional certifications and development in the internship program, allied to nearby universities.

Globally, enterprises are working to reshape their systems’ portfolio and accelerate advances in cloud, mobility, social media and application technologies. Upon creating and promoting a portfolio of integrated applications, companies become more responsive and capable of keeping up with the demand as well as buffing up innovation and growth, which means more value after delivery.

“Applications have a key role in helping companies and governments in supplying customers and citizens, with secure and continuous access to information, business tools and processes all over the world”, explains José Roberto Cordeiro, Business Director at HP Enterprise Services. “The integraton of this centre with other IDSs worldwide offers quality consistency, integration and information management, which makes the delivery of applications even more efficient”, he guarantees.

Global connections delivering results

“There isn’t a single supplier out there who can overcome today’s complexity in mobile involvement programs on his own. Each supplier has his own experience and pre-acquired concepts, with a handful of skills, development processes and focus on a buyer – be it IT or business. But the companies need something more than that”, wrote John McCarthy and Ted Schadler, VPs and main Analysts, in a report for Forrester. “A mobile engagement supplier must have a portfolio filled with engagement and management skills to help build and deliver mobile experiences worldwide.”

IDS is based on successful methods and resources obtained from delivery teams in the many locations HP is at, with a better pattern, influence and collaboration which drives quality and services for HP clients to a whole new level in innovation. Applications developed within the global HP System use better experiences and cutting-edge service  and training of the involved professionals.

“The Araraquara unit, now a Global Delivery Center, will offer services of information and analysis management for unlocking big data, connecting people, ideals and processes to optimize measurement of businesses and decision making”, Corsini says, “Upon evaluating, updating and managing applications, companies can respond to challenges and opportunities which are important nowadays”.

IDS also allows more transparency in the delivery performance, using default metrics to measure and push for continuous development, automation and innovation, with collaboration and an information management platform. The new centre was created to house the development of applications and services of application management in order to help clients create new applications that can boost their operational efficiency, reduce costs and help them make their business results better.
