HEINEKEN Group in Brazil will invest R$ 550 million in the state of São Paulo in 2019

The HEINEKEN Group in Brazil, the second largest brewer in the country, during a meeting at InvestSP – the Investment Promotion Agency of the State of São Paulo, announced an investment of R$ 550 million in the state of Sao Paulo.

This investment is part of the company’s national expansion strategy, which will focus on the modernization of its breweries in Araraquara, Itu and Jacareí, and its microbrewery in Campos do Jordão. Still in 2019, the Group will also open another Distribution Center in the state of São Paulo.

“Since 2015, we have invested consistently in our breweries to support the growth of the HEINEKEN Group in Brazil. São Paulo is an extremely important state for us due to the supply of the Southeast region, a strategic market for the Company, especially in the premium beer segment,” said Nelcina Tropardi, Vice President of Corporate Affairs of the HEINEKEN Group.

InvestSP is a social organization associated with the Department of Economic Development and its mission is to contribute to the development of the State of São Paulo by promoting investments, increasing exports, encouraging innovation and improving the business environment.
