Embraer has already closed five contracts at the Dubai Fair

The 2007 edition of the Dubai Air Show, started last Monday, has become one of the main displays of the jets of the Brazilian Aeronautics Enterprise (Embraer) for the Arabian market. In two days five contracts were signed in the segments of executive and commercial aviation, involving up until now 39 jets and US$ 947 million in solid sales. The management of Embraer expects to reach the end of the event, to finish on the 15th, with new contracts, mainly in executive aviation. In case all the purchase options currently contracted are exercised, the sales will reach US$ 1.9 billion, and 65 jets sold. Besides the Arabian countries, Spain and Nigeria have acquired Brazilian airplanes. The first contract in Dubai with Europe has come from the Spanish group Globalia. 11 executive jets were bought. The total value of the business is of US$ 62.31 million. The jets will be operated by the Pepe Jets. Falcon Aviation Services, from the Arab Emirates, ordered eight executive jets, in a US$ 145.78 million transaction. This order was included in Embraer's solid order portfolio. Embraer has also signed a contract with Al Jaber Aviation, from the Arab Emirates, for the sale of seven executive jets. They are five Lineage 1000 and two Legacy 600. The Arabian company has also chosen to purchase, in the future, two other Lineages 1000 and one more Legacy 600. The total amount of the agreement is US$ 265.57 million and it may reach US$ 377 million, in case all options are exercised.
