ElringKlinger announces an investment of R$ 20 million for Piracicaba factory

The plant will receive an investment to acquire machinery and equipment for plastic molding. The project is supported by Investe São Paulo

To gain more efficiency, auto parts maker ElringKlinger will expand the factory of Piracicaba, in the countryside of São Paulo. With an investment of R$ 20 million and the expectation to create 40 new direct jobs, the German company is building a new plant of 5,000 square meters and investing in machinery and equipment for Plastic Modules of Engineering such as Camshaft Plastic Covers, Intake Manifold and Plastic Covers for gearboxes.

According to Fernando Petrolino, the managing director of ElringKlinger Brazil, the new unit is coming to house both the constant growth and the new technologies.

 “The new investment will generate, consequently, economic development in the region of Piracicaba, the city that over 20 years ago welcomed us. ElringKlinger has been investing in the Brazilian unit, with the expansion of the production capacity and in new equipment, bringing technological renovation aligned with the precepts of industry 4.0,” he adds. 

The project is supported by Investe São Paulo, Agência Paulista de Promoção de Investimentos e Competitividade, in the entire process of tax and environmental advising. “To provide support to a consolidated company, reference in its segment, is a great satisfaction for us at Investe São Paulo. Once more we contribute to the economic development of Piracicaba and, consequently, of the State, because it generates employment, develops the supply chain and the logistics,” highlights Sérgio Costa, director of the São Paulo agency.
