Director of Investe SP speaks to Canadian businessmen

Trade mission aims to foster the cooperation between Canadian companies and the State of São Paulo

On October 13, the director of International and Institutional Relations of Investe São Paulo, Sérgio Costa, spoke to the delegation of Canadian businessmen from the telecommunications sector who were attending Futurecom 2014. The trade mission to Brazil was organized by the Consulate General of Canada in São Paulo and took place in parallel to the fair. The event, which will also be held next Tuesday, takes place at Hilton Hotel, in the district of Brooklin.

During the presentation, the director introduced Investe SP – São Paulo’s Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Competitiveness, as well as the services offered by the advisory of Investe SP in assistance to foreign partners who wish to establish economic relations with the State of São Paulo.

“Any of you who want to invest in Brazil can go anywhere, as long as it starts with São and ends with Paulo,” said the director. During the presentation, Costa highlighted the potential of the state and placed the agency at the disposal of the businessmen for future investments. He also introduced the new website Find a Partner. The website enables local and foreign companies to find partners, representatives and investors.

The speech is part of a series of presentations of institutions and companies such as Ericsson and Telefônica/Vivo. The event brought together more than 30 Canadian companies planning to invest in Brazil in the upcoming years. The Consul General of Canada in São Paulo, Stéphane Larue, attended the event.
