Brazil sees trade opportunity with Mexico amid protectionist wave

The Brazilian government already sees trade opportunities opening amid the protectionist wave heralded by US President Donald Trump. A strong US trade partner, Mexico will start negotiating in two weeks the opening of its market for Brazilian soybean, pork and beef. Agriculture Minister Blairo Maggi says his Mexican counterpart will come to Brazil on February 20 to start talks and added that "several companies that didn't to reconsider due to the political shift in the US. The meeting with Mexico was being negotiated since last year.
