St Marche, Catterton pick São Paulo again for new Eataly location
Valor InternationalNegotiations between the partners of grocery chain St Marche and US investment fund Catterton are drawing to a close and the Brazilian partners will likely see their stake cut by half, to 40% or 50% of the company, people close to the situation say. Most of the new funds from Catterton will go toward opening a second Eataly market in São Paulo. But a planned location in Rio de Janeiro will have to wait, sources add. Sales at the 20-store St Marche chain are expected to reach R$720 million this year.
