São Paulo Governor heads to US to 'sell' R$45bn concession packageValor International
Optimistic with the results of recent transport infrastructure auctions, São Paulo Governor Geraldo Alckmin (Brazilian Social Democracy Party, PSDB) heads to the US next week to sell a package of concessions and publicprivate partnerships (PPPs) projects. There are more than 20 projects that include notices announced, in preparation or under study that add up to the potential of generating R$45 billion in investments. "It's a conservative estimate," says Karla Bertocco, undersecretary of government partnerships and innovation, who along with Mr. Alckmin will perform a road show from May 15 to 17. Most projects in the package are from the transport and housing segments.
