Rodo Linea to invest US$ 13.22 million

Rodo Linea - manufacturer of implements for road transport from the Hübner industrial group, headquartered in Curitiba, is planning investments of R$ 23 million (US$ 13.22 million) in 2008 in order to almost double its share of the Brazilian market and make its exportations move up from 5% to 20% of the sales. "The company intends to sell around 1.2 thousand units this year, which represents 2.5% of the market", said Fernando Gabel, its managing officer. "For 2008, our expectation is to reach 2 thousand units sold and reach 4% of the market share", he completes. Rodo Línea sold R$ 25 million (US$ 11.5 million) in 2006 and may get close to R$ 60 million (US$ 34.5 million) in 2007. The company works with the forecast of reaching R$ 95 million (US$ 54.6 million) in sales in 2008, thanks to the new businesses in the domestic and foreign market. The investment will be aimed at the increase of the units, acquisition of equipment and development of new products. R$ 10 million (US$ 5.75 million) will be invested in the construction of a new branch in Campinas. "Our focus is the Southeast with this first branch we open. Next we will also invest in the São Paulo metropolitan area" announces Fernando Gabel. Other R$ 10 million (US$ 5.75 million) will be invested in the increase and modernization of the current manufacturing complex, providing the expansion of areas aimed at the productive lines and increase of productivity. The other R$ 3 million (US$ 1.7 million) will be destined for the development of new products. The investments will be carried out with the company's own resources and financing. Exportations, according to him, are in clear expansion.
