Rio Claro strengthens partnership with Investe São Paulo

During the meeting, representatives of Rio Claro were introduced to the work developed by Investe SP in promoting competitiveness in São Paulo
On March 2, the president of Investe São Paulo, Juan Quirós, and the mayor of Rio Claro, Palminio Altimari Filho met at the Agency’s office to intensify the municipality’s relationship with the state government Agency responsible for assisting private companies that have projects to build new ventures or expand their production.
“Rio Claro already indicates high levels of social development and occupies the 34th position in the ranking of Brazilian cities in HDI. Now we need to consolidate and expand industrial investments in the city. With this, we will also manage to increase tax collection and the creation of job opportunities. This is why this approach to Investe SP is so important,” said Du Altimari.
Among the topics discussed in the meeting was Rio Claro’s potential to host new production plants and the registration of the city in the online tool ‘Area of Municipalities’.
“The city is in the main economic development zone of the state. It has an excellent road infrastructure and privileged logistics, in addition to the qualification of human capital with the local school of technology. The city is ready to welcome new investments and this partnership with Investe São Paulo should yield results,” said Quirós.
The meeting was also attended by the Municipal Secretary of Development, Antonio Beltrame, and the director of Investe SP, Sérgio Costa.
