President of Investe SP strengthens partnerships with the municipalities of Araraquara and Valinhos

The strategies for attracting investment to the areas were discussed in meetings held with the mayors

At the meeting with the mayor of Araraquara, they discussed the details of the investment of Hyundai Rotem, which will produce in the city trains and cars for subways

In an audience with the mayors, the president of Investe São Paulo, Juan Quirós, reinforced the Agency's partnerships with the cities of Araraquara and Valinhos. Juan received, on June 10, the mayors of Araraquara, Marcelo Barbieri, and Valinhos, Clayton Machado, at the headquarters of Investe SP, at the Technological Park of São Paulo. "Our doors are open and we are committed to bringing more investment to the State of São Paulo", said Juan to the mayors.

First, with the mayor of Araraquara, they both addressed details of the investment of Hyundai Rotem, which will manufacture trains and cars to subways of several Brazilian capitals and also to countries of Latin America.

The claims of the Korean company were addressed by the general director of the company in Brazil, Choon-Sung Han. The Secretary of Science, Technology, Tourism and Sustainable Development of Araraquara, Antonio Martins, and Mario Eros Toledo da Veiga, from Hyundai Rotem, were also present. Mayor Marcelo Barbieri thanked for the attention that the city has received from Investe SP. The Investment Director, Ermínio Lucci, accompanied the audience.


Valinhos

The Mayor of Valinhos, Clayton Machado, highlighted his city's potential, today with 120 thousand inhabitants, and with space for receiving companies. Machado told Quirós that the work of Investe SP has proved essential for the city's economic growth in recent years, since several companies have settled with the assistance of the Agency.

Clayton Machado was accompanied by his Secretary for Economic Development, Wilson Ventura, and Secretary for Planning and Environment, André Barduchi. Juan Quirós made himself available to the mayor and said that Valinhos presented a significant growth in recent years. "As resident of Campinas, I am near Valinhos and see the city's expansion from a close perspective", he said.
