Mayor presents the advantages of Morungaba to attract investments during a visit to Investe SP

On April 15, the Mayor of Morungaba, José Roberto Zemi, visited the office of Investe São Paulo, in the state capital and met with Juan Quirós, president of the agency. The meeting was intended to discuss the economic and social development of the city and the advantages offered by the city to welcome new investments from the private sector.
Since February this year, Investe SP has been conducting a survey to find out the vocation of the cities to attract investments. "By understanding the advantages offered by the cities and the economic sectors they wish to privilege, we are able to better assist the investment. Thus, we have more conditions to attract to the region companies that meet the strategic planning of the municipalities," said Quirós.
During the meeting, the mayor had the opportunity to learn more about the agency's work with regard to investment attraction.
Área das Prefeituras
To further promote interaction between the municipalities and Investe São Paulo, in the beginning of the year the state agency launched the Área das Prefeituras, which is hosted within the website of Investe São Paulo. Through this tool, the municipalities are able to register the land areas to be presented to investors and report issues relating to municipal tax laws, master plan and map the investments announced in the 645 cities.
