"We would like to rely on the expert support provided by Investe SP, which has made a very solid work for the state of São Paulo", said the mayor

On June 1, the president of Investe São Paulo, Juan Quirós, welcomed the mayor of Lins, Edgar de Souza, who requested support from the Agency to attract new investments to the city. The mayor showed the potential of the city, which already has a consolidated position as an exporter of meat and other products and is also favored by its airport and the possibility of interconnection with the railway system.

Juan Quirós, accompanied by director Sérgio Costa, advised the mayor to develop a material with information about the health structure available in the city, because investors look at all the details rather than the logistics only. The mayor Edgar de Souza highlighted that Lins has 50 undergraduate programs, an expanded unit of Fatec (School of Technology) and three hospitals, in addition to six family health units.

The mayor is making an effort to promote the expansion of the airport, a measure that is deemed essential to attract more companies. “We are receiving significant indications of new investments and we would like to rely on the expert support provided by Investe SP, which has made a very solid work for the state of São Paulo,” said the mayor. Juan made himself available and recommended to the mayor special attention to the area surrounding the airport, with the creation of a Master Plan that ensures conditions for the expansion of the area with safety.
