LG sales reach US$ 10.7 bi until September

LG Eletronics sales reached US$ 10.68 billion in the third quarter of the year, an increase of 11.8% compared to the same period from the previous year. The operational profit was US$ 390 million, increasing the profit margin to 3.6%, which means an increase of 1.3% in relation to the previous year. The company has announced that the stability of the operations of all business divisions was what has driven the result. With global sales of US$ 38.5 billion in 2006, LG Electronics is the largest manufacturer of CDMA cell phones, air conditioners, products for optical storage, and DVDs. In 2006, the Brazilian subsidiary reached sales of US$ 1.8 billion, a growth of 38.4% in revenues in relation to the previous year (2005). The goal for 2007 is to sell US$ 2.5 billion in Brazil. Currently, the Brazilian subsidiary is one of the main business focuses of LG Electronics in the world. The company has two industrial compounds in Brazil, one in Manaus (AM) and another one in Taubaté (SP).
