Large project leverage automation businesses in the country

The forecast of growing 25% this year - due to large projects of the steel mills, and of the industries of oil, paper and cellulose, petrochemical, as well as of other industries in the same category - will be confirmed by many companies that operate the development of automation. For 2008, the most conservative estimates indicate the maintenance of the rhythm of growth. In the case of industrial automation for the manufacturing area, which includes shoemakers, carmakers and manufacturers of electronics, such performance may not be the same as in the group that involves processes. With that, the total performance of the sector will reach a level of evolution little superior to 10% in 2007. Nonetheless, for those who operate with the basic industries, the year was good and promises even more. The estimates of the Brazilian Electrical and Electronics Industry Association (Abinee), published in August, indicate general sales for the sector of industrial automation of nearly R$ 3.1 billion (US$ 1.8 billion), in 2007.
