Kemin plans third animal nutrition factory in Brazil

Valor International

Kemin, an American maker of micro-ingredients for animal feeds, will build its third factory in Brazil next year. José Piccolotto, vice president for the company in South America, says the investment is motivated by soaring demand, especially among the cattle industry. The new plant will be installed in Campinas, São Paulo and could be operating in early 2017. The output selection remains to be decided, but Mr. Piccolotto says it could include import substitution. No values were disclosed. Kemin reported 50% growth in Brazil sales in the year up to June.
