On January 28, a delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guizhou Province, China, visited the headquarters of Investe São Paulo. The executives were welcomed by the director Sérgio Costa and the investment analyst Rafael Murgi.

“São Paulo and Guizhou have convergent business sectors, which opens up the possibility for several businesses, especially in the areas of renewable energy and aerospace,” said the deputy general director of Foreign Affairs of the province, Liu Baochang.

Costa presented the main mechanisms available in the State of São Paulo to stimulate investments in these two areas and in others. “China is a major trading partner of Brazil. Partnering directly between regions is extremely important to make our free services available to potential foreign investors,” said the director.

One of the topics discussed at the meeting was the possibility of organizing the arrival of a group of businessmen from Guizhou to learn about the advantages of investing in São Paulo.

In the delegation of Guizhou were: Li Yiqiang, director and economist of the Department of Energy; Wang Jiaping, director of development and planning division of the same body; and Liu Yu, deputy general director of advanced engineering of Guizhou Mining.
