Investe São Paulo and Switzerland Global Enterprise enter into partnership

In 2014, nine memorandums of understanding were already executed with international institutions

On November 10, Investe São Paulo and Switzerland Global Enterprise, the investment promotion agency of the Swiss government, entered into a memorandum of understanding aiming at the cooperation of both institutions in the intensification of the economic relations between São Paulo and Switzerland.

The document was signed at the headquarters of Investe SP. Among the actions to be carried out between the two institutions is the organization of missions to Switzerland and the welcoming of delegations from the country interested in learning more about the business environment of the state. It also includes the participation of Investe SP in events promoted by Switzerland Global Enterprise and the collaboration of the Swiss Agency in the attraction investments from Swiss to São Paulo.

The director of Investe SP, Ermínio Lucci, introduced the agency and the services free-of-charge offered to investors, highlighting the potential of the state and the positive projection of São Paulo in comparison to other States of the country. The Swiss delegation demonstrated its availability to help strengthen the economic relations, since Switzerland Global Enterprise considers São Paulo as an economic power within Brazil.

The Head of Swiss Business Hub Brazil, Thomas Forest, highlighted the importance of Investe SP being accessible not only to foreign companies but also for national institutions.

Investe São Paulo has helped several Swiss companies allocate their production plants in the state, such as Syngenta. The project was executed in the city of Itápolis and included investments totaling US$ 100 million.
