Support from Investe São Paulo was announced in 2015; Steel Warehouse Cisa started operations in mid-May this year

On November 8, Steel Warehouse Cisa, a steel service company that processes carbon steel to be used in sectors such as agriculture, construction and automotive, opened its plant in Brazil, in the city of Paulínia, São Paulo. With the support from Investe São Paulo, the opening included a speech by the Agency’s Director, Ermínio Lucci, who celebrated the partnership and the results of the funds invested.

“Investe SP is honored to have assisted this investment with services such as site location, environmental licensing, infrastructure, tax analysis and press relations,” said Lucci. In total, the company invested R$ 200 million, in addition to creating 36 direct jobs. “Attracting investments is an action that is reversed in quality of life to our people.”

According to the managing director of Steel Warehouse Cisa, David Sánchez, the company will initially process from 3,000 to 4,000 tons of steel plates per month. The intention is to reach 7,000 tons per month by the end of the year, which corresponds to approximately 35,000 tons in the first year of activities. “We would like to operate with 35% of capacity, which is an ambitious volume to start operations, taking into account the market scenario. However, the trend is to increase,” said Sánchez.

Steel Warehouse Cisa is the only company offering this unprecedented technology in Brazil, the Temper Pass Cut to Length line, which processes steel coils and produces steel plates with better tolerance and flatness. Among the services offered are the plates supplied directly to customers of plants that need this type of cut, such as Usiminas, Gerdau, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional and ArcelorMittal. Manufacturers of machinery for the agricultural sector and heavy vehicles in general are also part of the demand, as well as sectors such as construction, mining and industrial machinery and equipment.

The support from Investe São Paulo, announced in 2015, allowed the operations of Steel Warehouse Cisa to begin in mid-May, with the processing of coils. “The equipment is already fully adjusted. The first coils had some adjustments, which were minimal, requiring nothing more than the usual in the sector,” said the director.
