Delegation from Shanghai visits Investe SP
During the meeting, the agencies have undertaken the commitment to perform actions to attract more investments to São Paulo

On December 12, at the Department of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of São Paulo, the director of Investe São Paulo, Sérgio Costa, welcomed a delegation of representatives of Invest Shanghai, the investment promotion agency of the city of Shanghai, in China.
Costa introduced Investe SP to the delegation and highlighted the potential of São Paulo State in relation to the other Brazilian states. In addition, the director presented the trading data and the economic relations that the state already holds with the Asian country.
During the presentation, it was proposed that the institutions enter into a mutual cooperation agreement for the attraction of more investments and the consolidation of a working agenda. “São Paulo has the best conditions for the companies to settle down and this is why Chery and BYD, for example, chose the state for their production plants,” said the director.
Costa highlighted that all services provided by Investe São Paulo are free of charge and also explained to the Chinese delegation the guidelines of confidentiality to which the projects assisted by Invested SP are subject.
The director also introduced the tool Find a Business Partner, a website developed to enable national and international companies wishing to create partnerships for technology transfer, commercial representation and investment in the State of São Paulo.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the two agencies have undertaken a commitment to schedule events in both countries for the promotion of investments between the two regions.
Investe São Paulo has an extensive relationship with various institutions and Chinese companies, having already announced the support to five investment projects from the country. There are even memoranda of understanding entered into with Invest Shenzhen, the investment promotion agency of the city of Shenzhen, and the Bank of China.
Invest Shanghai
Invest Shanghai is the investment promotion agency of the city of Shanghai, China. It has five offices outside the country of origin, located in London, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Los Angeles and Osaka. The agency’s goals include the provision of free assistance to investors to solve problems during the process of implementation of their projects and provide updated information concerning the industrial and service industries.
