Investe São Paulo assisted Datalogic with site location for the facility. "Projects related to information technology and communication are treated as a priority by our team. Investe São Paulo believes that these products add value to the supply chain and create highly skilled jobs. The installation of Datalogic in Jundiaí will be critical to the economy and the population of that region", said President of Investe São Paulo, Luciano Almeida.

Datalogic has decided to invest in Brazil as this is the sixth largest economy in the world, and boasts the largest economy in Latin America. Its retail market circulates around 230 billion dollars. Jundiaí was chosen because of decisive factors such as its proximity to the Viracopos Airport, which is in Campinas, and to the Santos Port, not to mention Jundiaí being an economical center and reference in techology around the country.

The unveiling of this unit is part of Datalogic’s strategical plan of global expansion.

Datalogic currently employs 41 people nationwide, accounting marketing and sales in the city of São Paulo and the factory. This number should rise to 60 in the near future.

The unit will produce 20,000 to 25,000 units of hand readers, 15,000 to 20,000 fixed dereaders and 12,000 mobile computers per year; however, there is possibility of an expansion if demand rises.
