Carlos Wizard brings Taco Bell to BrazilValor International
Grupo Sforza, controlled by Carlos Wizard Martins, has signed an agreement with Yum! Brands to bring Taco Bell locations to Brazil, operating as a master franchisee. Mr. Wizard, who founded and sold the eponymous chain of language schools, says he will invest R$100 million into opening 25 wholly-owned locations in four years. Brascan Open Mall, in Itaim, a well-off neighborhood of São Paulo, will get the first location in August. Negotiations with the master franchisor of chains KFC and Pizza Hut took two years, according to Mr. Wizard. The menu will be 75% similar to the American one but offer options more adapted to local tastes.
